The Battle Of Bowman Round 2

We return today with round 2 of The Battle Of Bowman. Last rounds votes resulted in a partial upset, (in my mind,) with 1990 beating 2015. The other winners include 1992, 2018, 1953, and 1951. Round 2 starts today with 4 matchups, including 3 previous winners. I'll go a bit in depth with these, unlike last time.

Round 2

1949 v.s. 1954

I wish I had a 1949 Bowman card. Currently my oldest card is a 1950 Bowman, but I have a '49 sitting in my eBay cart. As for why some of the set has a name, and some doesn't, I haven't a clue. 1954 is a bit more detailed than the previous year, but still simple, as were most sets then. In order to advance, 1954 beat 2019.

1952 v.s. 1993

Both of these sets are making their debuts in the competition. 1952 is a simple design,  with a facsimile signature and a smaller than standard size. The only thing I can find interesting about the 1992 set is the fact that they spelt Tapani as Tapan on his card. Other wise, I've got nothing.

2011 v.s. 1995

Who is this Mike Stanton guy? I know of a Giancarlo... The 2011 set is very similar to the 2 years that came after it, all with the same little growing border feature. 1995 has a mirror image which really throws me off along with the red foil Bowman logo. In order to advance, 1995 beat 2010.

2008 v.s. 1950

2008 Bowman gives off this movie theater vibe to me. This card may have an advantage because of the Rookie Card logo which may be a bit much, but I prefer it over the ones they use now. 1950 is a perfect square which I enjoy. Yes, I also chose Billy Buckner on purpose. In order to advance, 1950 beat 2014.

In order to cast your votes, just leave a comment saying which set you like better. The one with the most votes advances to the next round. 8 more sets battle it out next Tuesday, which will be followed with a 2nd post of photos from the Orioles game I'm attending that day. Go Twins and thanks for reading.
